Installing component Frontend-User-Access

  1. Download the component.
    free- and trial-version
    pro-version
  2. Go to 'Extensions > Install/Uninstall'.
  3. Click 'browse' and select the file which you just downloaded.
    The file name starts with 'com_frontend-user-access'.
  4. Click 'Upload File & Install'.
    The file is being uploaded and installed.
    The component will also install 3 plugins. When uninstalling, these 3 plugins will also be uninstalled.
   

Installing the menu module Frontend-User-Access

The menu-module is only available for the trail- and pro-version. Only needed if you want to hide individual menu-items in a menu.

  1. Download the menu module.
    trial-version
    pro-version
  2. Go to 'Extensions > Install/Uninstall'.
  3. Click 'browse' and select the file which you just downloaded.
    The file name starts with 'mod_frontend-user-access_menu'.
  4. Click 'Upload File & Install'.
    The file is being uploaded and installed.
  5. Go to 'Extensions' > 'Module Manager' > 'frontend user access'.
  6. Set enabled -> 'yes'.
  7. Click 'save'.
   

Installing plugins for Frontend-User-Access

The 3 plugins get installed with the component. Only read on if you experience problems with installing the plugins when installing the component installer. This is probably a rights issue of the plugin-folders. In that case, you can download and install each of the plugins separately in the Joomla installer.

  1. Download all 3 plugins: 'system' and 'content' and 'user'.
    1. plg_frontend-user-access_system_v3.1.0_j1.5.zip
    2. plg_frontend-user-access_content_v3.1.0_j1.5.zip
    3. plg_frontend-user-access_user_v3.1.0_j1.5.zip
  2. Go to 'Extensions' > 'Install/Uninstall'.
  3. Click 'browse' and select the file which you just downloaded.
    The file names start with 'plg_frontend-user-access_system'.
  4. Click 'Upload File & Install'.
    The file is being uploaded and installed.
  5. Go to 'extensions' > 'plugin manager'.
  6. Click on 'Frontend-User-Access (system)'.
  7. At 'Enabled:' select 'Yes'.
  8. At 'Order:' select 'Last'.
  9. Do the above steps 2-8 again for 'plg_frontend-user-access_content' and 'plg_frontend-user-access_user'.
