Editing articles in back end with AUA was created by dahauss
I am trying to set up a user so that the only thing they can do in the back end is EDIT articles. I thought I had it set up correctly but when then go to the article manager, they can see all the articles but they all have a RED CIRCLE and link through them and they cannot edit the articles. They can create new articles... I am running Joomla 1,5 and AUA 2.0.5 PRO. I made sure the user has access to the articles as all ofd the articles under the user are checked.
Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?
Thanks ... Dave

Might be an issue of overlapping rights. Check in the AUA config on each tab which restriction types you have active. You might also have 'workflow' enabled. There are loads of workflow settings to do with editting of content that might overlap. Also 'categry access'. If the user has no category access, also the articles belonging to those categories are blocked. So to test, make sure ONLY article access is enabled and try again. Then figure out which other restriction type is overlapping and adjust those settings.
